Support

I appreciate having a place like the Ward Family YMCA to go to and exercise. Since I stated the Diabetes Education and Support group I have stopped smoking, lost weight, decreased my medications and I am much more conscious about what I eat. I tell everyone I know about the program and how the YMCA helped me and improved my quality of life. I love my Y!

Community

The Y for me and my family is a place that we can go to to help us stay health. Aside from the weight room, which I love!... I enjoy taking the classes also provided at the Y. It;s a place that I can get to know the people within the community and share concerns that may be going around the neighborhood. It's like a huge clubhouse for the entire family to enjoy.

Respect

I love my Y because I get treated with the utmost respect. I also love my Y because it's a good place to meet new friends and have a good time. I love my Y because I like the staff and it's a good place that keeps me out of trouble and gives me a safe environment. I love my Y because they help me with my homework and if I don't have any they find something for us to learn about. My has really helped me grow as a person and I love everyone here.

The After School Program

I love my Y because they created the after school program. The program helps kids complete their homework, provides snack and keeps you physically fit. We play cardiovascular games like soccer, football, etc. A membership to the Y is recommended because of the friendly staff and the fun of being fit.

I Love the Eldon and Elsie Ward Family YMCA because:

It has a warm and spirited family feel. It is a safe haven for young and old alike, which makes it an ideal environment to promote activity and healthy lifestyle. Also, it is located in the heart of the neighborhood, which I call home.

It's where I get full...

Eldon & Elsie Ward Family YMCA provides me with an opportunity to give back, give now, and give forward; give back because it helped mold me as a youngster and prepare me for success, give now because it's where I volunteer, work out, stay connected, learn and share, and give forward because I donate to the PHP which helps others have the Y as a resource to improve the quality of their lives in so many ways! I LOVE MY Y!
